Excellent speaker great sound. Have a Beam surround set up – added this for our porch and yard. Too heavy to travel with. Like all sonos stuff – set up is quick and flawless. One thing to keep in mind when grouping it with an existing indoor Sonos group. The Move has a built in delay of 75ms (you can increase the delay in settings). So yes the Move can play the same source as your other Sonos gear – but when in the same room the delay adds a hint of an echo – so better to use it in another room or outside when playing one source for all.

Purchased the Sonos Move to help hear the T.V. I should clarify, we can hear the T.V. but do not always understand what is being said. A few years ago we purchased the Sonos Playbar (we love it). “Move” was on sale, you can connnect Move to the Playbar so we thought we’d give it a try.
Got home charged it up, added the Move to the Playbar (easy to do) and put Move on the coffee table in front of us. Ta da!! We can understand what is being said from the T.V.
A plus is you can control the volume on the Playbar & Move. One can be higher in volume and the other can be lower. Of course if we’re not watching T.V. Move is playing whatever we want to listen to.

I am skewing my review because I love Sonos and their products. They sound great and this MOVE is portable with a long lasting battery. It is however, heavy so it’s no something you want to put in your backpack and carry for very long. The problem with this SONOS for me however was the new App it was hooking up to, S2. I have an older Play5 that runs on the S1 App and for whatever reason, they interfere with each other and the set up was painful and I was on tech support three times for about 3.5 hours. Very frustrating. Right now it’s fixed and the MOVE sounds fantastic. However, I unplugged my Play5 and am afraid to plug it back in and cause the MOVE and the S2 App to stop working again…so I’m giving up a great sounding older SONOS to use just so I can use this new MOVE. If you have older SONOS products, I would be very cautious of buying new speakers to use on the newer S2 App.

Purchased this Sonos speaker for our outdoor patio use and spent over an hour trying to connect it to our internet/Wi-Fi with no success.
I then called the So is support team whom I spend almond 2 hours on the phone with no success. We decided to return the speaker and we purchased a different brand of outdoor speaker from Costco. That speaker was connected in 5 minutes.

Sturdy build speaker. Clarity and depth of sound are impressive.
Easy to set up. No complaints at all.
Conservatively priced for its quality and features.

Thought this was going to be real easy to set up since we already have Sonos speakers in our home on the wifi network. Turns out that according to the instructions & information found online, our existing speakers only work with the Generation 1 Sonos system. So the instructions said to “downgrade” the Move speaker from Gen 2 to Gen 1. I did that and then tried to add it to the existing Sonos speaker system. It just wouldn’t let me do it. I “chatted” with a bot online on the Sonos website and eventually chatted with a real person once the bot ran out of ideas. I spent 45 minutes with the real person to no avail. Three hours on this in one day was too much so I left it for another day. When I came back two days later, I reset the Move speaker again and decided to just try adding the Move speaker to its own separate Gen 2 Sonos speaker system separate from our existing Gen 1 system. Low and behold – all the Gen 1 speakers upgraded to the Gen 2 system along with the Move! So now they all work together as I had hoped they would. Overall, works well – love it. Zero Stars for instructions and support. I suspect, though, that anyone getting this speaker as their first Sonos speaker or with more recently purchased (i.e. Gen 2 speakers) should have no problem going through set up.

Sound quality is great. But, the set up is WAY more difficult than it should be, especially if you already have other Sonos devices. Every time I open the “updated” app/system now, I have trouble with it.

Sound quality is v. good, with superior build and presentation ( a la Sonos). Move also connects via bluetooth. If you already have Sonos system this adds music that follows you around –an easy add. If you aren’t a Sonos user yet, download the app and set up the Move following clear directions. EQ and sound tailoring available in the app. Easy battery charging via base is a plus. Price/value tradeoff is appropriate IMHO.
