Absolutely love these shelves. Bombproof and simple to put together… took less than an hour by myself. Includes a wall anchor so I know my kids are safe. Unlike plastic shelves – which I continued to buy for years – I’m able to use the full 77″ width of my totes and the adjustable height means they’ll fit no matter what.

Here is the best part: Buy at least 2 because the instructions show how you can use the bottom shelves from the 2 units to build a third shelving unit between them. I bought 3 and have over 300″ (25 feet!) of shelving now. I use the floor under the shelves for my shop vac, coolers and other misc items and stack the bins on the other 3.

I have bought a couple of these shelves over the past couple years. I needed to get another one recently and didn’t pay too much attention to it when I was throwing it on the cart since I’d already bought 3 of them before. Well when I started putting together I noticed that there were numerous changes that made it feel cheaper. The end parts are lighter due to an increase in holes in them. The long parts of of the shelf support and the intermediate supports feel much cheaper and do not go together as easy as the previous version. I was pretty disappointed by the end since the other ones were just so much better.

I bought this rack several years ago at a local Costco and still remember being amazed at the quality, just like most Costco purchases. Unfortunately, I recently bought a similar rack at a local Costco and thought it was the same brand until assembling it. The newer rack that can be purchased in store is Edsal, and although it looks very similar, it is very poor quality compared to Whalen. If it wasn’t so difficult to dissemble and transport back to Costco, I would return it and purchase the Whalen online. Stick with the Whalen brand and you will be happy.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble but that’s not the best part. I bought two of these at my local warehouse over an year ago. I finally got to install them today. They have been stored all of this time unboxed and laying on 2X4s beside my house, open to all of the rain and snow the entire time. When I started to install them I first washed all of the mud and leaves off them. The amazing thing it that there is not one spec of rust anywhere on them. Once washed they looked like new. I hope to get many years of use from them.

It is very sturdy and easy to assemble. All of the parts were unblemished and in good overall condition despite some minor damage to the box. Nothing to really complain about. If I were doing it over, I would make it a two-man build but it was not overly difficult doing it by myself. I would guess that all told it took about an hour. Because some of the things going onto the shelves had small parts that would stick through the shelf gratings, I added pieces of masonite cut to the size of the shelf to two of them. A major plus is that the units were delivered to my garage at no cost.

I bought five sets of these shelves for my ranch some years ago. Those shelves had a much better finish and were made with heavier metal. I bought two of the new shelves the finish is good but not great and they are made with thinner material. One of the systems arrived bent and the bottom shelve section would only fit after using a large pipe clamp and a large crescent wrench to bend it into position. With this said I would buy these again because they are much better then the competition. Just keep in mind if you are not fairly strong and have so heavy duty tools putting these together could be a real chore. I was surprised at how much they cost now.

Love these shelving racks! I needed strong shelving to store a lot of stuff. I had looked at other brands at other stores and was really struggling to find something that met my needs. I saw these listed for sale on Costco’s website while they were having a special and couldn’t pass them up.

I am so glad I got these. They are VERY sturdy and strong and were so easy to put together – no tools required unless you wanted to use a mallet to make it easier to connect.

I ordered 4 during the special and got $300 off, which made one basically free. We had all of them put together in about 2.5 hours, and most of that time was unpacking and moving to where I needed them put up.

I would definitely recommend these.
