WOW. Worst electronics item ive ever purchased
Ive owned this TV for a day, and i’m on my second one. Don’t be fooled by its pretty screen in demo mode.
First one wouldnt connect to the internet, hardwire or wifi and it was incredibly slow. Windows ME looked incredibly fast and stable for a comparison.
Second one connected to the internet. I couldnt get anything to play except for 2 ads on prime video. Netflix loaded the menus, Hulu failed to login, Disney wouldnt even get to a login. More than worthless product, costco needs to remove this item from shelves. Returning the second one in the morning.
Don’t even trick an enemy into getting this, its too cruel.

Frustrating performance. Unusable.
I never wrote a review, but I have to warn people against this thing.
Pros: good picture quality, decent software features promises.
Cons: software performance is the worst I’ve ever seen! Makes everything unusable. This seems like less than a beta product. Menus lag, navigation is terrible, loading times are eternal even with 250+mbps, Seems like the hardware is well below specs for what the software tries to do. I’ll either return or use with an Apple TV box. Don’t buy for the “features”. I can’t believe someone at LG authorized this product to ship as is today.Recommends this product✘ NoOriginally posted on- Features

Good Value, missing some bells and whistles
My husband and I purchased this tv because we were looking for a larger tv with a clear picture at a good value. My rating is mid-range because we did get those things we were looking for but I assumed we would also get what we already had with our smaller Samsung and Vizio tvs.
Pros:
Guide option for live tv
Cons:
It it takes longer to load apps and live tv
The MLB app does not function well at all on it
No sound variances- movies, sports, etc are all the same even though there is an option for adjustment it doesn’t seem to matter
Some shows don’t have good sound at all and it’s hard to hear
Overall still a good value.Recommends this product✔ YesOriginally posted on Features-

You get what you pay for, picture quality is great sound is good but that’s about it.
The processor is outdated or just too slow for my needs very slow and Apple home kit is a joke it will pair with your Home with no function whatsoever.
For 2024 model LG is not the favorite in my book. I’m trying to stir off from Samsung disappointment and LG is not any better, although it has a great function for cable cutters, it will give you access to 200 channels for free and no sign up. I’m going to look in Sony and return this LG.Recommends this product✘ NoOriginally posted on- Features

Worst TV ever
LG television stopped working after 1 week. Costco has been terrific about helping me, LG has been a nightmare. I will never buy a LG product again. LG had no desire to make it right. They told Costco they never got the service requests even though Costco had confirmation that they did. LG was more interested in arguing than fixing. Worst product ever.

Mines wonderful and does Everything!
Surprised at the reviews because mine work’s wonderful. Stream everything without an issue and love the menu for easy access to all my streaming apps. Picture is great and tv linked up with my sound bar better than my previous tv. Not only that but it detects everything with exact name so it can be selected very easy with no guesswork. Love this tv!

Not impressed
I dislike everything about this TV. I have owned five LG TVs and this one has the worst sound, picture, and absurdly long lag times in Apps, settings menu, changing channels, literally everything. Yes, I checked my internet speed and it’s running on max. I’m really disappointed in LG, and I’m not happy about figuring out how to get this TV back to the store as it will not fit in my car.

Good picture, terrible processing speed
I recently tried several entry level 55 inch TVs at Costco for my bedroom that included Hisense and Roku. Both were fast and easy to use but the Hisense had contrast/black levels and Roku had unnatural colors plus not all of the apps I’m using had all of their features available on that tv. So, I kept coming back and comparing just the picture quality between various entry levels 55 inch tv’s. I narrowed mu choices down to a Sony for $599 and am LG that is now on sale for $349. To my eye, the Sony’s colors, brightness, and contrast were the best (an I do have an expensive 75 inch Sony tv for my living room that I’ve been fully happy with), followed by the LG. So, last Saturday I went to Costco and purchased 55 inch LG UR8000. The next day, Costco received a 2024 version of the same LG tv that, as I was told is the same as bought, but had a newer processor. I went home, grabbed the still unopened LG UR8000 and exchange it for the 2024 LG UT800, hoping that I hit the jackpot. But once I have fully set up that brand new LG, I wad appalled at how ridiculously slow it was and still is. It has an enormous delay in connection with any operation, like switching apps, adjusting settings, and selecting a movie or show within each app. I had a 2014 Vizio tv at some point and it was way way faster. And of course my Sony runs circles around this LG. This is so disappointing given that the TV has a very decent picture quality and a very comfortable remote. I asked a Costco representative that maybe I got a defective panel, bur he said it’s unlikely and LG simply does not pay much attention to processing their content as opposed to Roku and Hisense. I guess I’ll play with this TV for a while and then ultimately return it and buy a 55 inch Sony, which is $250 more expensive but at least won’t be frustrating me every time I turn it on. I’d appreciate any comments on what I may have been doing wrong and also on the issue of my potential mistake of buying the LG UT 8000 v. LG UR8000, which could have been faster. Thanks for reading this.
