I bought this a few days ago and I am happy with my purchase. The 4k looks sharp and the colors and picture quality are great. I mostly use it for work, movies, videos, and web surfing and I like it so far. I don’t play games, so I can’t say about gaming performance. I connected it to my Macbook pro and it works fine. I also like the height and tilt adjustments. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also has a pivot adjustment which wasn’t mentioned in the description. I especially like the deep black color it produces, which I didn’t get from my previous monitor. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

This monitor is excellent in every way. My previous 32 inch monitor simply died on me and this LG is better in every way. I highly recommend that you go on YouTube and watch an excellent review of this monitor which includes unboxing and an explanation of all of the technical features and stats. He even goes through all of the monitor’s extensive settings and makes suggestions for the settings you will be choosing. I took notes from the video which simplified the assembly process and setup. This monitor has terrible off-center contrast. To explain what I mean, imagine the display is divided into a 3×3 grid of nine “tiles”. If you’re facing the center of the monitor, the tile in the center looks very good, with dark blacks, good color, and no shiny reflection from the LCD. But the other eight tiles around the center tile don’t have dark blacks, the color washes out as you approach the outer edges, and you can see light leakage through the LCD shutters that make cheap LCD panels, well, cheap.

I work 50+ hours a week and need the display not to be a distraction, so I won’t be able to keep this monitor–boxing up to trade for a newer one after ten minutes of use. It might be acceptable for video gaming and streaming video, but for a work monitor it will be painful to look at.

We bought this to replace a 27 inch 1080P Asus monitor as we needed more screen space to do taxes etc that require 2 pages or more to be easily displayed. When we bought this it didn’t have a ton of reviews but we’ve had fairly good experience with LG before and this one does not disappoint. However, we can’t really use it as a monitor in the full 4K so we use it closer to 2K to kind of balance the size of the text with the distance we sit from the monitor. Only caveat is that there is very little documentation that comes with this. we had to go searching for the control joystick which is right behind the LG logo underneath the screen so that we could change common settings like input, volume, et cetera. Really like the counterbalanced monitor support for allows you to easily move the screen up and down to match your eye level.

Great monitor. No damaged pixels. Nice and bright. If you have a shallow desk, I recommend something smaller or an IPS panel type. Sitting any closer than 2ft to the screen will reduce the visual quality at the outer sections of the screen.

I just want to warn people that the HDMI cable was defective. If you are not seeing anything on the screen, it might be the cable. I spent so much time trying to make it work.

Very nice monitor for the price. I am not a gamer. I have not been able to get the contrast to the same level as my Acer EB321HQU. Going from 2560×1440 to 4K resolution requires adjustments in text fonts.
